The Pate Lake Wall at Briscoe Park which has needed repair for many years will finally get a makeover The Snellville City Council approved a $204,210 contract with Bailey Construction & Landscaping to reconstruct a 350-foot section.
The funds were obtained from the Gwinnett Community Development Block Grant. Bailey Construction won the contract after presenting a proposal over over $1 million, the lowest of five bidders.
The lake will be drained while the repairs are underway. Three hundred feet of existing sidewalk will also be repaired. Contractors are also planning to perform site stabilization and grassing. A timeline for construction has yet to be determined.
